What Is a Top Internet Reputation Tool or Tip? Images

Add visual content.

If your online reputation is damaged and needs to be repaired; you are looking to protect an existing reputation; or you need to build your online presence, adding visual content should be a top priority.

What is Visual Content?

This includes the obvious: photos, JPEGs, and videos, but also includes PowerPoint presentations, which, when added to the site Slideshare.net, can be very helpful.

This is not a “secret,” and it should not come as a surprise considering recent developments and shifts made by Google, which is really in response to search demands.

Some of the fastest-growing social media sites, Instagram and Snapchat, are image-oriented; YouTube, owned by Google, is the third most visited site; Facebook’s Instagram added Live, a casting service, to an already explosively popular service.

How Does Video Compare to Blogging?

So, we know that visual content can be beneficial.  Which is more valuable to repair an online reputation: writing a well-written blog post or creating a decent one-minute video?

Well, it’s hard to say, especially since Google never reveals how it ranks sites.  But based on some real-world experience, it seems a video posted to YouTube with a handful of views could show up quicker in a Google search than a blog.

So–get visual.
